July has flown
by!! We had a great 4th, with Mitch's family coming for a visit.
Both his sisters brought their family to the Cities. Heather and her
family stayed with Mike and Jenna, and Jen's family stayed with us. We
had a barbeque one night, made it to the Como Zoo, visited the Mall of
America, went to a 4th of July parade and fireworks, and also perfected our
"Guitar Hero" skills!! :) The kids were given the option of going to
ValleyFair, but declined! The guys spent one night at the horse track
and, needless to say, came home with pockets full of losing tickets and their
thirst quenched. :) My
sister turned 21 on the 23rd and we celebrated with a family dinner out.
I should also mention that she got engaged in the middle of the month.
She has been with her fiancée, Drew, since high school and they plan a Fall
'08 wedding, once they've graduated from college and have settled into
full-time jobs.
We have started to do some packing as
we prepare to move in August. We leave for Spearfish on August 2 and
plan to stay for about a week. |
